Scriberly Event CV Review Privacy Notice

Last Updated Date: 05/11/2026

Introduction

This notice explains how we use the CV and details you submit through our event upload form. The form lets our team review your CV with you at the event and explain how you can improve it using Scriberly.

1. Who is responsible for your information

Scriberly is operated by Scriberly Limited, which is the data controller for these event submissions. For questions or to exercise your privacy rights, email support@scriberly.com.

2. What we collect

We collect the CV you upload, the name and contact details you provide, your event selection if requested, and the date and time of your submission. Your CV may contain employment history, education, skills, achievements and other information you choose to include. We also record your consent to the review.

3. Why we use your information

We use your submission to identify your CV, review it with you at the event and provide feedback. We may show you how to improve your CV using scriberly.com. This upload does not create a Scriberly account, start a subscription or add you to a marketing mailing list. If you choose to create an account or upload your CV into Scriberly, that is a separate step covered by the service privacy policy at https://www.scriberly.com/privacy.

  1. Your choice and our lawful basis

We rely on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the UK GDPR for the event review and related handling of your submission. Uploading is voluntary and is not a legal or contractual requirement. Without a CV we cannot provide feedback on that document, but you can still speak to us about Scriberly. You can withdraw consent by telling a team member at the event or emailing support@scriberly.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.

5. What to leave out of your CV

Please upload only your own CV. Remove unnecessary sensitive information, such as health details, ethnicity, religion, political views or criminal records, and identity document or bank details. Remove other people’s personal contact details, such as referees’ phone numbers, where they are not needed for the review.
